RESERVATION POLICY

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT

Check In: 3:00pm
Check Out: 10:00am.

Please let us know if you require additional time and we will do our best to accommodate. This allows us to ensure that the cottages are thoroughly cleaned and replenished before the next guest arrives, especially during the busy summer season.

# OF GUESTS
The total number of guests, including the specific number of adults and children must be confirmed in your booking confirmation.  Additional guests require approval from Fortune Cottages prior to your arrival and may be subject to an additional fee of $50/night.

WIFI
We have wifi running on the property. Select any of the following networks:  Cottage 1 , Cottage 2 or Fortune Cottages. These are unsecured and do not require a password.

KITCHENS & BBQ
Our kitchens are fully stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. We also have 2 propane BBQ’s provided for the property. Extra propane tanks are located in the recycling shed beside cottage 1.

LAUNDRY & CLEANING
Laundry facilities are provided as well as laundry detergent.  General cleaning supplies are also provided for you to maintain the cottage during your stay. You can find these under the cabinet in the laundry room, and under your kitchen sink. Please let us know if you require anything else.  Extra supplies are located in the laundry room behind Cottage 2.

TV
The cottage is equipped with smart TV’s with access to Netflix.

WATER
Our drinking water is great quality, drawn from a well on the property.  Waste water management consists of a septic system. We therefore ask you to send nothing more than human waste, toilet paper and “dirty” water down the drains. Paper bags are provided for women’s feminine products and should be disposed in the Waste bins.

PARTIES
The cottages are not to be used as a venue to host parties with offsite guests.

PETS
Pets must be approved prior to your arrival. Pets are not to be left alone in the cottages unless they are crated.  Please clean up after your pets. There is a hose located at the back of The Ranch in the parking area, please use this to clean your pets.

SMOKING
This is a nonsmoking establishment. Smoking is permitted only outside the chalets more than 3 meters from the building, and cigarettes are to be disposed of safely.

WATER SPORTS
The property contains a dock, canoes and other water activities. All use of the property and any recreational supplies are at your own risk. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

GENERAL

Fortune Cottages is committed to providing exceptional service to our guests. Unfortunately, when a guest cancels without giving enough notice, it prevents another guest from being served.  Late cancellations have an impact on how we are able to serve our guests. For these reasons, Fortune Cottages has implemented a cancellation policy that will be strictly observed.

DEPOSIT & PAYMENT

Your reservation is complete when we receive your booking deposit. Your booking deposit is 50% of the stated booking fee. Payments can be made online via credit card or etransfer.

  • We will hold a reservation for 24 hours without payment.

  • An email confirmation will be sent to you at the time of deposit payment. This email serves as a confirmation of your booking.

  • Full payment of any balance owing is due 14 days before your arrival date.

CANCELLATION REQUESTS

Cancellation requests must be submitted by email to fortunecottages@gmail.com. Please note that refunds will be processed in the original form of payment

If a Guest wishes to cancel their reservation, the deposit will be refunded as follows:

  • 100% if cancelled 30 days or more prior to the check-in date

  • 50% if cancelled 14 days -30 days prior to the check-in date.

  • 0% if cancelled less than 14 days prior to check-in date.

COVID-19 Cancellation Policies

Bookings that need to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 Travel Restrictions that require you to self isolate for 14 days upon entering Canada or upon entering PEI, will be refunded 100%. 

Fortune Cottages may also be entitled to cancel the Guest stay if the house rules are broken during the rental period.

 

INSURANCE

We encourage all guests to purchase traveler insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances, accidents or other issues that may prohibit the guest from traveling or fulfilling rental terms.
